Callistemon Laevis is native to Australia and is better known as Scarlet Bottle Brush. It’s been grown here since the 1800s and is the hardiest type for the UK’s climate. Bottlebrush’s evergreen leaves are dark green and lance-shaped, but it’s the bright red bottlebrush flowers that steal the show. These exotic blooms are bright red with yellow anthers and smother the branches from early spring to summer. If you’re looking for something show-stopping and a bit different for your fenceline then Pleached Bottle Brush is perfect.
This is a pleached version of Scarlet Bottle Brush, so it has a single clear stem and an evergreen crown trained on a square frame. Bottle Brush likes heat, so it makes excellent screening in warmer areas of the UK.
