Japanese Acers (Japanese Maples are prized as ornamental trees with stunning foliage particularly in autumn & strikingly elegant forms. Acers have been in English gardens for over 200 years now and are very suited to our UK Climate. Typically very slow growing, most of these mature acers which we are selling as unique trees are at least 30 years old.
We like to think we have a specimen Japanese Acer tree for every garden. The Acer Palmatum Dissectum varieties are generally the slowest growing and ideally suited to urban gardens because of their small size. They are sometimes referred to as umbrella acers due to their lovely natural dome shape and delicate lace-like leaves. For something larger we have several mature Acer Palmatum Bloodgood trees that will eventually reach heights and widths of 5 metres.
