Pleached Leylandii Trees - the pleached form of Cupressus x Leylandii
In its natural form, Cupressus x Leylandii or Leyland Cypress, is a fast-growing evergreen conifer prized for its dense, scale-like foliage. The combination of year-round foliage and rapid growth makes this conifer a popular choice for hedging: it quickly achieves good height and will be able to offer you privacy throughout the seasons. It is also low-maintenance and does not require much care or fuss to thrive in the garden.

Pleached Leyland Cypress combines all the great qualities of this fast-growing conifer with with the added benefit of highly architectural, formal shape. Pleached Leylandii Trees have clear, stilt-like stems that rise above your head, with a crown shaped into a square. This is achieved by training the conifers on bamboo frames: once the crown is formed, it requires only minimal upkeep to keep its stunning shape.
In addition to Pleached Leyland Cypress, we also stock Cupressus x Leylandii in a full standard shape and as hedging, root balls in season of course, and half standards.
Height and Spread of Pleached Leylandii Trees
