Camellias
Flowering Evergreens native to Eastern and South East Asia
Camellias are evergreen shrubs with showy flowers. They are woodland plants by nature, thriving in neutral to acid soil in semi shady positions. They like to be hydrated and don't like drought. They produce a profuse display of stunning flowers in early Spring - colour ranges from purest white through to the darkest pink and all shades in between. We have a small range of rare tree Camellias and some shrub specimens that make perfect - and beautiful - evergreen hedges. Camellia Japonica varieties flower in Spring and the Camellia Sasanqua varieties flower in autumn winter.
