Camellia Japonica Nuccio’s Pearl
This dazzling variety Camellia Nuccio’s Pearl is an evergreen shrub producing the most spectacular double white flowers edged with the pearliest pink flush which is an incredible contrast with the dark green, glossy, leathery leaves. This is an early flowering variety, Camellia Nuccio's Pearl displays its beautiful blooms in late winter to early Spring. The flowers are about 8 cm in diameter and are a formal double shape with rounded petals.
Thriving in acidic, well drained soil, do give it a good mulch and when planting it in the ground, fill in around the roots with Ericaceous soil.
It will reward you if you feed with slow release ericaceous food (Camellia feed) once a year. All Camellias flower best if they are kept in a dappled shade or full shade position but take care - they do not like cold winds or early frosts, so a sheltered position is essential.
These Camellia Japonica Nuccio’s Pearl plants are available in a mature multi-stem tree shape, which is quite rare for camellias, and also as a bushy form for planting as a shrub and or if you are considering a camellia hedge.
