30% Off - Now £94.50Astelia Silver Spear is formally known Astelia Chathamica a beautiful slow growing evergreen perennial which is a member of the grass family. Another classic grass specimen originating from New Zealand. The very architectural sword shaped leaves are a shimmering metallic silver green colour which will reach a span of 2 feet by 2 feet. This gem of a plant is unusually one of the few 'silver' leaved plants that will happily thrive in a shady spot in the garden. Its unusual colour makes it the perfect plant choice to brighten up a shady corner and these look particularly natural when planted in a group - three or five of these grouped together creates a pleasing grouping, adhering to the garden designer's secret of planting perennials in odd numbers...
Astelia Silver Spear will also grow well in a pot on the patio and again is a very handy potted plant for a shady corner of the terrace.
