Azalea Gibraltar (AGM)

Azalea Gibraltar is a Knaphill (Exbury) azalea hybrid. It is a deciduous, medium sized azalea hybrid with mid green foliage and deep crimson buds opening to deep orange flowers flushed with red and a yellow flare. This beautiful Azalea Gibraltar will give fantastic bloom in late spring early summer. It is an extremely prolific bloomer and one of the most popular of the deciduous azaleas.

Try planting this Azalea in mixed borders with other flowering shrubs, or in pots and containers.

Azalea Gibraltar likes acidic soil, full sun and partial shade. This variety is resistant to mildew. It will reach a max height and spread 1.5m over 10 to 20 years.

Use a good mulch and mix to keep soil nice and moist, and use a good ericaceous feed to prevent foliage from yellowing.

Azalea Gibraltar has received the Award of Garden Merit (AGM) from the RHS.
