Rhododendron Mrs TH Lowinsky (AGM) 
This beautiful vigorous evergreen shrub has been awarded an AGM (Award of Garden Merit) by the Royal Horticultural Society. Mrs TH Lowinsky is a medium size hardy Rhododendron hybrid with a dense compact yet neat growth habit and dark green glossy foliage. Striking flowers emerge in mid summer. A generous and profuse bloomer, Mrs Lowinsky produces lots of beautiful bloom and will give the garden a special feel.

This is a late flowering Rhododendron with a flowering period from early to mid June. The large mauve buds open pale lilac eventually turning white with eye-catching orange and brown blotches. Its genuinely striking blooms have trusses of 14-20 each.

Try planting Rhododendron Mrs TH Lowinsky in a mixed borders with other flowering shrubs such as Azalea Dorothy Hayden or late flowering Camellia Reticulata Black Lace. Rhododendron Mrs TH Lowinsky is also suited to growing in a pot or container for the patio. 

As with Rhododendrons in general, Rhododendron Mrs TH Lowinsky likes partial shade and acidic soil. Apply regularly with a good mulch and mix to keep the soil nice and moist and feed with ericaceous feed to prevent the foliage from yellowing.

Rhododendron Mrs TH Lowinsky will reach a max height and spread of around 1.5 to  2.5 Metres.

Mrs TH Lowinsky is sometimes referred to as Mrs Tom H Lowinsky or even Mrs. Tom Lowinsky. This variety of Rhododendron Hybrid is very highly rated in gardening circles.

All in all, Rhododendron Mrs TH Lowinsky is one of the best late flowering hardy hybrids with good winter hardness up to -24 °C, profuse blooms and a neat growth habit.
