Hydrangea Paniculata Little Lime
Little Lime is the smaller sister of Hydrangea Paniculata Limelight, and weighs in at just half the size which makes it highly sought after for growing in smaller gardens and as a patio or terrace plant grown in a container. It is a prolific flowering cultivar - simply covered in bright lime green panicle flowers at the end of sturdy upright branches. The flowers, unusually, change colour as the flower matures, turning white and eventually tinged with pink at the end of the flowering season.
This fabulous shrub is a must have in small gardens and is very useful as it will tolerate being grown in a north facing position and has a very long flowering season from July through to September.
The main thing to remember, is to shield them from cold winds as this tends to dry them out - if the soil is moist this is a great choice for brightening up a dreary corner.

The bright green flowers of Hydrangea Little Lime look beautiful when grown with contrasting plants of deep red and burgundy. The flowers of Little Lime are coveted by florists and floral artists for use in flower arrangments, they are a beautiful addition to the cut flower garden and will dry easily for longer lasting dry flower arrangements.
Growing Tip: Make sure the soil is moist - mulch regularly to keep the moist retained. If you do grow in a container, keep them well watered!
