Hydrangea Paniculata Pinky Winky (‘Dvppinky’)
One of the top choices for the Paniculata type Hydrangeas - Pinky Winky produces huge panicle shaped flowers at the end of strong upright red coloured stems. Pinky Winky is a particularly strong grower with fabulous showy flowers that have a lovely spicey fragrance. Starting off as a pale lime green, turning brilliant white. They gradually change colour as the flower matures - developing through every shade of pale pink often on the same flower head, until the blooms eventually become a deep pink shade at the end of the season. These magnificent blooms are really beautiful and very unusual. Our stock of Hydrangea Pinky Winky shrubs are already a substantial size so these can be planted to create instant impact.
Hydrangea Paniculata Pinky Winky can also be used to create a stunning ornamental hedge - they will grow to circa 1.4 metres high when fully grown and their long flowering time gives a wonderful display of colour from July right through to September.
Pinky Winky can also be grown in a container as long as it is kept well watered, perfect as a specimen shrub for patios and terraces.
NB: Hydrangea Paniculata Pinky Winky has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit a sure sign it will perform well in UK gardens.
