Berberis Thunbergii Admiration
A new cultivar of Berberis, Berberis Thunbergii Admiration is an attractive low & slow growing deciduous shrub. It might not be a large shrub but Berberis Thunbergii ‘Admiration’ punches well above its weight in terms of garden impact. It has striking bright coral foliage edged with yellow in spring / summertime, produces tiny pale pink flowers that emerge in late spring early summer, followed by crimson berries. Then, in autumn the leaves will change to a vibrant red that will give the garden glorious autumn colour.
Originating in Japan, Berberis Thunbergii Admiration likes full sun or partial shade and moist but well drained fertile soil. It will reach a maximum height of 60 cm.
Try planting Berberis Thunbergii Admiration in mixed borders or as a colourful low-growing hedge.
