The dark pink buds turn to pinky-white flowers in late Spring. The pretty star-shaped pink flowers typically appear in May and June and are followed by steel blue berries sometime around August. Most varieties of Viburnum Tinus are profuse bloomers producing generous clusters of fragrant flowers - Eve Price is no exception. Another attractive feature of Viburnum Tinus Eve Price is the extremely long lasting buds and flowers.
Viburnum Tinus Eve Price is a slow growing evergreen. These specimens are already circa 1 metre tall and are quite mature. The plants have an attractive neat dome shape that show off the attractive very glossy green leaves. Over time Eve Price will reach a max height of 3 metres and a spread of 1.4 metres. Plant in either full sun or partial shade.
Because of its bushy growth habit and the fact that it does not mind being clipped and shaped, Viburnum Tinus Eve Price is useful for hedging as well as an ornamental shrub. Best to feed with ericaceous feed 2-3 times per annum. One of our favourite varieties of evergreen Viburnum, the cultivar Viburnum Tinus Eve Price is usually grown as a medium sized shrub.
Viburnums will tolerate windy conditions and can be planted in coastal areas. Eve Price is quite a hardy variety but it can be slightly tender in extreme frosts.
Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society, a sure sign that it will perform well in most gardens.
We also stock Half Standard Viburnum Tinus Eve Price - a more formal shaped version. More information on Viburnum on our blog.
