Fagus Sylvatica Dawyck is commonly known as Fastigiate Beech
This Scottish native tree is perfect as a specimen tree - its columnar habit rarely gets wider that circa 3 metres and likes most well drained soils. Although it will tolerate coastal areas it does not respond well to very exposed locations. Fantastic shaped trees and the changing foliage colours add interest to the garden.
These trees are ideal for creating an avenue of trees or to add shape and structure to the garden. Glossy dark green foliage changes to vibrant yellows and oranges in autumn - beautiful colours when you need them the most.
