Magnolia Grandiflora is also known as the evergreen magnolia or the Bull Bay Magnolia. This broad conical-shaped evergreen tree has glossy dark green leaves producing a very large showy cup-shaped flower, which is highly fragrant, from later summer to early autumn. The beautiful white of the large petals is intensified against the backdrop of the dark green leaves. The flowers are accompanied by a heady scent that will permeate the garden in summer.
Magnolia Grandiflora as its name suggests is a tree that can have a huge impact in any garden design and a row of these magnificent trees gives perfect screening potential. With the larger more mature varieties, you can create a pri vacy screen instantly!
This large evergreen Magnolia is very slow growing and for immediate results, we recommend buying our large specimen trees. We also have a range of smaller sizes - the medium sized Magnolia also works well planted for evergreen screening purposes.
Magnolia Grandilfora prefer well drained soil and a sunny spot or dappled shade.
