Thuja Smaragd Half Standard Topiary Trees

Thuja Occidentalis 'Smaragd' is a wonderful cedar tree that maintains a lovely rich, dark emerald, green colour all year round. Thuya Smaragd is a very forgiving conifer when it comes to trimming or training, unlike some varieties Thuja's will keep a lovely green colour, even where they are trimmed. The foliage is fragrant and exudes a lovely smell when you brush against them or trim the leaves.
These half standard topiary trees are very elegant and look gorgeous when located either side of your entrance door. Remember though, if you do keep them in a container - make sure they are mulched regularly and that you keep them watered. If planted directly in the ground Thuja Smaragd is drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be planted in full sun in moist, well drained soil.
