Topiary Flower Tall Stem - Ligustrum Jonandrum
Topiary Flower Large is a beautiful garden ornament, expertly trained to resemble a lovely blossom with open petals, leaves, and a tall stem. This Ligustrum Jonandrum topiary is 1.3 metres tall, excluding the pot, and its stem is 90 centimetres high.
While Topiary Flower Large has a clear stem trunk, its leaves and the blossom that crowns it were trained over a wire frame. To achieve the distinct look, we used Ligustrum Jonandrum or privet shrub, which is a slow-growing, evergreen small-leaved shrub. While it took us a better part of the decade to train this remarkable topiary tree, keeping it in shape will not require much time or effort. Just trim it once at the end of the summer, and again in the spring.
Privet is fully hardy in the UK, but in areas with harsher climate or exposed locations, some of the foliage might die in the winter. Do not let this worry you, as it new growth will emerge the following spring.
