Rosa Rosanna Climber Rose

Rosa Rosanna or Rosanna Rose, a Kordes pink climber rose, has won gold medals at The Hague, Lyons, and Geneva. It is a vigorous and lovely rose with a long blooming season which will add beauty to your garden! Introduced in 1982, the Rosanna Rose produces clusters of very full long-lasting salmon pink flowers, 11 cm across, with a light scent. Flowering continues from June to September. The glossy, dark green leaves provide a striking backdrop for the dazzling blooms. 
Hardy in most parts of the UK, Rosa Rosanna will climb up a support to a height of 2-3 metres and spread of 1.5-2 metres. Like all roses, it should be pruned in late winter or early spring to cut out dead wood and permit good air circulation, as well as shaping the growth as desired. If planting more than one Rosanna Rose, space them 75 cm apart. 
Plant your Rosanna Rose in full sun in rich, moist, but well-drained soil, and provide it with support to help it climb. Make sure that the graft union is 5 cm below the soil surface, and prune the stems back to 15-20 cm. Keep it well watered until established. Rosa Rosanna has excellent resistance to black spot and mildew.
