Pyracantha Golden Glow
This is a dense upright growing, evergreen, thorny shrub which makes it a very good hedging shrub and an excellent security plant. Pyracantha's are on the police list for plants to use for security around a property. These shrubs are extremely easy to grow and will thrive virtually anywhere on good soil.
They can reach heights of approx 4 metres - if you are planning to make into a hedge, plant 3 plants per fence panel. They will soon grow into a lovely dense wall of green, the adding benefit is that Pyracantha are hugely attractive to wildlife, the white flowers are loved by bees and birds adore their golden berries.
