Prunus Serrulata Royal Burgundy is a wonderful flowering cherry tree displaying large clusters of 'double' pink flowers, in April and May. The rich burgundy coloured foliage complements the pale pink flowers perfectly. This is a relatively new Japanese Cherry hybrid and it is prized for it's deep red foliage which turns a spectacular bronze colour in Autumn.
Another important feature of this, one of the prettiest of the flowering cherry trees, is the rather beautiful mahogany bark that develops as the tree matures. Prunus Serrulata Royal Burgundy is a really special ornamental tree which is suitable for all gardens.
