An evergreen variety, Black Bamboo will retain its attractive looks all throughout the year, making it a great choice for screening and hedging purposes. The new growth is green at first but as they mature, the arching canes (culms) get the distinct black colour that give this bamboo variety its name. The foliage is narrow and lanceolate with leaves measuring up to 12 cm in length.
