Cornus Florida Sunset sometimes known as flowering dogwood is a deciduous ornamental tree which can also be grown as a shrub and provides interest to the garden from spring right through to autumn.
In spring the new foliage has a quirky pink-hued edge which turns to yellow with a green centre as the foliage matures over the summer. In autumn, this turns to a deep purple red.
Cornus Florida Sunset produces small green flowers in late spring which have a large pink bract (to protect the tiny flowers & attract pollinators), followed by berries in the summer.
