Ceanothus Concha, is an Evergreen shrub which grows particularly well against a sheltered fence or a sunny wall. We also stock Ceanothus plants grown against a frame for privacy screening. Each plant will spread 2 metres by 2 metres when mature, so these particular plants are perfect for evergreen hedges.
Ceanothus (common name California Lilacs) are blue flowering, which can be rarer than you would think in flowering shrubs. In particular, Ceanothus Concha is a very vibrant blue, a true standout shrub when in flower. In recognition of its many charms, Ceanothus Concha has long been a holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Ceanothus Concha is hardy and fast growing - it produces a stunning mass of deep blue flowers from late spring through early summer.
Very suited to our UK weather, although evergreen Ceanothus Concha is quite hardy.
Ceanothus in general do particularly well on sloped grounds and they love a nice sunny position. For maximum impact, grow them against a south facing sheltered wall.
