Caragana Arborescens Walker is a deciduous dwarf tree with finely cut, light green foliage and a beautiful weeping growth habit. Lovely yellow pea-like flowers that hang below the branches emerge in mid spring and later the plant produces pea-like fruits. In autumn, the foliage will change to yellow embellishing the garden with lovely autumnal colour.

Caragana Arborescens Walker will reach a maximum height and spread of 1.5 metres. This small ornamental tree likes full sun or partial shade. It is a hardy plant and will thrive in most soils, even poor & dry conditions and does not mind an exposed position.

Caragana Arborescens Walker (also known as the Weeping Pea Tree) is easy to maintain. Just remember to remove all side shoots that develop below the grafting point. Like many of the ornamental weeping trees, Walker’s weeping Caragana originated as a low growing shrub which has been grafted onto a standard.
