Topiary is very much a feature of contemporary UK gardens & terraces, and indeed was much in evidence at the recent Chelsea Flower Show. Topiary is the art of creating shapes & sculptures using clipped trees and shrubs. Plants that lend themselves well to topiary tend to be evergreen, have small leaves or needles and produce dense foliage.
In contemporary gardens and terraces, topiary is used to add structure and / or a formal note to a specific design. Topiary plants lend themselves well to containers and look very elegant in terracotta pots. They are therefore often used to grace the entrance to buildings and to dress terraces, patios and roof gardens.
In addition to our regular collection of topiary plants in many shapes and sizes, we would like to introduce some new topiary additions, all of which are available in our North London nursery or to buy online.
