Sambucus Nigra Black Lace or Common Elder for sale Online.
We have currently have in stock Sambucus Nigra Black Lace, an ornamental variety of the native British elder. This perennial, known as Black Lace or the Common Elder, grows well in sun or in shade – in fact it will grow almost anywhere and is a perfect border plant with its dark (black) foliage and striking flowers.
The Black Lace Elder should be pruned hard in early spring as this enhances the foliage, which is almost black in summer, turning a deep red in autumn.
