Holly Topiary Tree - Ilex Nellie Stevens

Ilex Nelly Stevens Holly Tree is a perfect choice for any garden.

It has spiny emerald green leaves with reliable crop of berries every year and is a very tough and easy to plant to grow.  Also known as Ilex Nellie R Stevens this holly produces the red berries without the need for a male/female partner. Nelly Stevens Hollies have the beautiful dark glossy leaves of normal holly but are not prickly.

Our selection of clipped hollies are nice mature plants and we have tried not to be too heavy handed with the shears to produce a smart but not over formal looking plant. Maintenance is easy if kept in pots as all they require is regular and consistent watering in the growing months and a light trim once a year after they have produced all the new foliage.

We recommend, if containerising these trees, to apply a light dressing of slow release fertiliser granules once a year in early spring to the surface of the pot soil. When grown directly in the ground they will thrive in any well draining fertile soil, in sun or part shade and once established will require only the lightest of trims once a year.
